1-What is your ‘go to’ bible verse to get you through the day? Why is it special to you? My favorite and “go to” Bible verse are Jeremiah 29:11.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This verse was shared with me when I was going through one of the toughest times in my life. It reminded me of a very important truth. God knows the beginning and the end and has me exactly where He wants me to be.
2-We are entering the season of celebrating faith, family, and friends. What family tradition(s) are you favorite and why?
Honestly, since our family is pretty spread out, the fact that we all get together is truly a blessing. Of course, gift exchanges can be nice and traditional, but feeling the gratitude of spending time with loved ones is truly the best gift of all.
3- What is it that Grace Church has, (like a secret sauce) that keeps you engaged, week after week?
It started for me when my grandfather, Jim Reamy was a Pastor at Grace in the 90’s. Then, when re-integrating as an adult, becoming close with Father Jonathon, Father Frans, and many others has felt more natural than any other experience I have felt with any church.
I always feel truly “at home” when coming to Grace for many reasons. Grace has always been a safe zone that is beyond special to my heart, at all points of my life thus far, and always has remained truly sacred to me.
4- Advent Sunday was held on November 28 this year, tell us how your family and you prepare for the birth of our Savior in your home.
My son Liam and I pray nightly. Mostly about our gratitude for each day and specifically thanking Jesus for every day that we have. We take turns on who takes the lead, and I am often impressed on how truly endearing and filled with substance his prayers are. He is my light and inspires me daily.
