Meet The Musicians: Part Two!

Meet the Vocalists

Adam Pryor

Adam Pryor is the Chorus Director, Guitar Teacher, and Music Minister at Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, FL, currently in his fourth year teaching. Under his direction, the TCHS Chorus program has almost tripled in size in the last three years, has earned Superior ratings at district and state level adjudications, and recently finished their first out-of-state tour to Nashville, Tennessee, and Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his position at TCHS, Adam is an active vocalist and church musician directing music at Grace Episcopal Church as well as the 5:00pm Contemporary Worship Mass at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. When he is not singing in schools or churches, you can find him performing in bars and restaurants across Ocala.

Adam is a graduate of The Florida State University holding a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in choral music education. He is a member of The Festival Singers of Florida, a professional choral ensemble based in Florida and has performed with the Master Chorale of Central Florida based here in Ocala. He has played the guitar for 14 years, the trombone for 12, the violin for 6, and has most recently picked up the piano.

When he first arrived in Ocala, Adam found Grace Episcopal to be the warm, inviting, small church atmosphere that he was looking for and quickly made this his home. Leading worship at Grace, along with his good friends in the worship team, helps to feed his soul spiritually, emotionally, and musically. Grace has become an avenue for him to grow closer to God, build positive, healthy relationships, and grow as a musician. He is proud to serve as your Worship Coordinator.

Jessica Mongerio

Jessica Mongerio is the Choral/Musical Theatre director at Forest High School in Ocala, and has rebuilt the program there after a 20-year absence of choir at FHS. Her undergraduate and graduate music studies were at the University of Central Florida; she recently completed her Masters of Music with an emphasis in Choral Music Education in May ‘21. Jessica has performed in the Central Florida area for many years as a vocalist, has many Ocala Civic Theatre productions under her belt, and has sung with the professional choirs Voci Del Coure and the Festival Singers of Florida. She was also the musical theatre director of the Performing Arts Conservatory of Ocala for ten seasons before its closure in 2020. Jessica is completing her term this year as District Chair for Florida Vocal Association District 5, and sits as the High-School Honor Choir Co-Chair for the Florida Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. She is also a part of the Florida Music Education Association Emerging Leaders, and has served as Artistic Director for the Marion Civic Chorale this season. In 2014 Jessica founded and still coordinates the Marion All-County Choral event which takes place every spring. Jessica says about singing at Grace: “There is so much I manage professionally, I love coming to Grace and just being a singer. Our worship team quartet of singers consists of two dear friends and a former student, so I have a personal connection with our team that makes singing with them very special. I receive a great deal spiritually from what we do, and I also get to see from my vantage point how our music contributes to how others worship, and that makes it a wholly gratifying experience every week.”
