As part of our Fall Outreach Partners drive we are collecting items to help make sure the Interfaith Emergency Service (IES) food pantry shelves are full for the holidays. Bring your donation to church starting November 3rd through November 17!
Items needed:
Dry foods and complementary goods (rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, crackers, peanut butter, jelly). Plastic containers preferred.
Canned meat (corned beef, chicken, ham, tuna)
Canned vegetables and fruits
Baby items (food, diapers, lotion, wipes)
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper)
This is our opportunity to continue the support of Interfaith that began in 1983 when Grace was one of the founding churches of a much-needed resource for those in need in our community. Over these 40 years, Ocala/Marion County has grown and Interfaith has grown along with it. In addition to the food pantry they offer other essential services, have a boutique and shower ministry, provide medical care at the Center for Life, and address housing needs in their shelter and housing programs. Soon the Engagement Center will be a place that those experiencing homelessness can find the range of services they need to find work and housing.(Look for more about the engagement service in coming social media posts.)
