Meet Our Team
REV. FRANS VAN SANTEN
Priest In Charge
Frans was born and raised in the Netherlands, the country of windmills, tulips, and Van Gogh. On his first visit to the USA in 2011, he met a girl from Florida at a wedding and married her thirteen months later. Frans and Erin started their life together in Amsterdam, where their children Estella and Moses were born.
Starting his career as a business consultant, in 2012 Frans felt that God was calling him to the ministry. He became the director of a Dutch ministry for young professionals, discipled young Christian leaders all over Europe, and created a Dutch course about faith and work. During these years, Frans studied at Tyndale Theological Seminary, graduating with an M.Div. in 2020.
Frans and Erin were members of the Anglican Church in Amsterdam and started a discernment process for the priesthood with the Church of England. In the midst of this process and before the world had any inkling of a pandemic, they decided to move their family to Florida and transfer to the Episcopal Church.
Frans is passionate about the beautiful message of the gospel and desires for everyone to know and experience God’s love. He enjoys preaching, good beer, classical music, theological discussions, time with his family, and Ajax soccer matches.

DAVE RUBIN
Verger
What is a Verger, you might ask? The Verger is the one who works behind the scenes to ensure that the Service has Ushers and Acolytes and Readers and Chalice Ministers; that the myriad of details required for a Church Service are covered, so the Priest can concentrate on worship. Dave is that kind of a detail guy. A retired Letter Carrier, he has a deep interest in studying Scripture and the details of our Liturgy. A bit of a perfectionist, Dave will be there on Sunday morning ensuring that your worship experience is as smooth and holy as possible. Some Sundays, you'll see him at the Altar in his black and grey vestments; but most of the time, he'll be in the pews, worshipping with his wife Janie.
