Volunteers from Grace Church engage the girls at this foster care group home in activities every month, either at the group home or in the community. Each Christmas and Easter the congregation provides the resources for the six boys and six girls in the group homes to participate in activities they would not otherwise be able to enjoy.

These group homes focus on the physical and emotional well-being of children, and teach methods for sustaining basic life skills aimed at fostering self-sufficiency when they age out of foster care at age 18.

Each month members bring canned and dry goods to church to support the Interfaith Emergency Services (IES) Food Pantry. We also cook and serve dinner at the IES shelter every other month.

The Ocala Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Center works to eliminate domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. The center has a 60 bed shelter for women and children that offers safe shelter and counseling. Grace Church members donate items needed at the shelter.

Grace Church has developed a partnership with Hospice to sponsor caregiver luncheons and other support, as well as community education programs. Grace has a long relationship with Hospice of Marion County (HMC) through church members who are employees, volunteers and board members.

EpiscoGators is a campus ministry at the Chapel of the Incarnation serving the University of Florida (UF) and Santa Fe College. Grace Church has strong emotional ties with UF as the congregation includes many UF graduates and the parents of UF students. The third Sunday of every month in the school year, Grace members prepare a meal for the students and join them for worship and fellowship.

The goal of the Women’s Pregnancy Center is to provide every client with the best possible care and support, while sharing accurate information about the life she is carrying, and to offer help and hope while sharing the love of Christ in both word and deed. Grace Church assists with fundraising activities and provides a meeting space for prospective adoptive parents.

The mission of El Hogar Projects is to provide a loving home and education in a Christian environment for abandoned, orphaned and hopelessly poor children, enabling them to fulfill their ultimate potential as productive human beings in Honduras. El Hogar Projects is a mission project of the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras. Grace Church members sponsor children and provide financial support for the orphanage and technical school.

Every year Grace Church members fill shoeboxes with simple gifts that are sent all around the world, bringing God’s love and the message of the Gospel.

Our group here at Grace is committed to seeing an end to this modern-day slavery. Grace Church is a member of the Marion County Human Trafficking Task Force and we are informed about local issues. Our initial efforts will be directed at raising awareness of all aspects of human trafficking, and offering ways to take action in our community.
