Early Learning VPK
1. What is the VPK program?
VPK stands for Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten. It is a free program every four-year-old child living in Florida is entitled to. It was designed to prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success by providing them with 540 instructional hours. The program allows a parent to enroll his or her eligible child (four years old by September 1 and residing in Florida) in a free VPK program.
2. How much does enrollment in the VPK program cost?
The VPK program is FREE for eligible children. If your child only attends during the VPK hours, there is no charge! However; we do offer additional programs that you may choose for your child to participate in that are fee-based. To choose from these options, there is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $150. For Extended Day (11:15 am - 1:30 pm) the cost is $195 per month and for Wraparound Care (7:00 am - 4:00 pm) the cost is $335 per month. We also offer "a la carte" program fees for the opportunity to take advantage of our extended programs on an occasional basis rather than a monthly commitment. For these rates you may contact the Director.
3. What is a "faith-based" preschool program?
Christian themes are interwoven into the curriculum in all classes. The children participate in daily bible lessons that are enhanced through flannel board story activities, games, and crafts and they, also, have a weekly chapel experience with Deacon Mary Delaney. We are committed to providing each child with their developmental needs while encouraging their spiritual growth. At Grace, children can experience God's love and develop a personal relationship with Christ.
